What is ICE Barcelona?

ICE is the world’s leading trade show for the gaming industry: the meeting point where the sector unveils its latest developments in technology, product and regulation each year. After years in London, the event moved to Barcelona, and the city has established itself as its new capital: the 2026 edition broke records for attendance and floor space, and the 2027 edition arrives aiming to grow further still.

It’s organised by World Gaming (formerly Clarion Gaming) in partnership with Fira de Barcelona, and covers every vertical in the sector: online and land-based gaming, sports betting, casino, payments, compliance, technology and much more. Above all, it’s a business and networking event, with millions of commercial meetings across three days.

⚠️ Important: ICE is a professional-only event, aimed at people working in the industry. It isn’t open to the general public and entry requires registration and accreditation, with verification of professional profile.

What to expect from this edition

Recent editions have placed ICE Barcelona among the world’s largest B2B events by scale and rating. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Exhibition floor: hundreds of exhibitors showcasing thousands of products, solutions and services across several Gran Via halls.
  • ICE World Gaming Forum: the conference programme on policy, regulation and sector leadership, with top-tier speakers and sessions on the year’s biggest challenges.
  • Networking: the heart of the event. Meeting spaces, hangout zones and a parallel programme of activities across the city throughout World Gaming Week.
  • Emerging markets: a particular focus on LatAm, Brazil and other expanding markets, a recurring theme in recent editions.

Getting to Fira Barcelona Gran Via

The Gran Via venue is in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, very well connected to central Barcelona:

  • Metro: line L9 Sud has several stops at the venue (Fira, Europa|Fira). The most direct option.
  • FGC: the Llobregat-Anoia line trains stop at Europa|Fira, next to the entrances.
  • From the airport: Gran Via sits halfway between El Prat and the centre, with an easy public transport connection.

During ICE, the organisers and Fira usually reinforce transport and signage. Even so, at peak entry and exit times it’s worth allowing extra margin: tens of thousands of people move at once.

Why stay at Hotel Arc La Rambla during ICE

For a fair at Gran Via, the key is to combine a good connection to the venue with a pleasant setting at the end of the day. Hotel Arc La Rambla (La Rambla 19-21, next to Drassanes, L3 metro) offers both.

From Drassanes, the L3 takes you with no changes to Plaça d’Espanya, the major connection hub for the Fira, linking easily with the lines serving Gran Via. After a day of meetings, you return to the historic centre: Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter and the harbour steps away for dinner and downtime, rather than staying out by the exhibition grounds.

And if you use the trip to see the city, that same L3 connects to the great icons — Passeig de Gràcia, with the Sagrada Família one change away — for your free time.
