Roser Festival 2026 in Barcelona

Festes del Roser 2026

Every October, La Rambla fills with flowers, live music and open doors for its own street festival, the Roser Festival. From October 3 to 11, 2026, Barcelona’s most iconic avenue — the very street Hotel Arc La Rambla calls home — hosts dozens of free and guided activities, with a handful of exhibitions and the closing ceremony running through November 2. Here’s the complete program, with confirmed dates, times and addresses, so you can plan your visit.

What is Festa del Roser, and who organizes it?

Festa del Roser is La Rambla’s very own local festival, organized without interruption since 1961 by the neighborhood association Amics de la Rambla. Its roots are religious: it honors the Mare de Déu del Roser (Our Lady of the Rosary) and is traditionally tied to the Battle of Lepanto on October 7, 1571 — still the festival’s official feast day. Over the decades it has grown into a full cultural program that opens up spaces rarely accessible to the public, from historic theatres to institutional buildings, while the street itself fills with markets, concerts and guided walks.

Roser Festival 2026 dates

Most of the program runs from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 11, 2026, with October 7 as the official feast day. A few activities have their own calendar:

  • Poster exhibition at Mirador de Colom: September 21 – October 25
  • Fira de Nova Artesania craft market: through October 12
  • Closing ceremony (“Ramblista d’Honor” award): November 2

“La Rambla en flor”: the festival’s signature look

Flowers are the thread running through Festa del Roser. Several landmark buildings along La Rambla wear special floral decorations for the occasion, including Arts Santa Mònica, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Mercat de la Boqueria, the Museu Marítim, Palau de la Virreina, the Reial Acadèmia de Ciències i Arts de Barcelona, Teatre Principal, the El Triangle shopping centre and the Mirador de Colom. Simply strolling La Rambla during festival week to spot every dressed-up façade is a free, family-friendly plan in itself.
