From 12 to 14 March 2027, Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue hosts B-Travel, the largest tourism fair in Spain aimed at the end traveller. It’s Fira de Barcelona’s travel and travel-experiences fair: domestic and international destinations, gastronomy, culture, adventure and ideas to inspire your next trip, with exclusive fair offers. It’s an event open to the public. If you’re going to visit, here’s what you need to know — and why Hotel Arc La Rambla makes a great base for your stay.

What is B-Travel?

B-Travel is Fira de Barcelona’s travel and travel-experiences fair, and the largest tourism fair in Spain aimed at the end consumer. It’s a meeting point between travellers, destinations and sector professionals where you can discover new ways to travel, get inspired and connect with the world.

It takes over from the historic Saló Internacional del Turisme a Catalunya (SITC), with almost 25 editions behind it, and each year gathers around 200 exhibitors representing over a thousand companies: autonomous communities, tourism boards, international countries, airlines, Renfe, hotel chains, cruise lines and caravanning and camping companies.

Its great value is that you can compare destinations and offers in person and, often, book the trip with exclusive fair offers. More than leafing through brochures, you talk directly with those who know each destination.

What to expect from this edition

B-Travel organises its offering into themed areas that help orient your visit according to the kind of trip you’re after:

  • B-Happy: wellness and switch-off travel.
  • B-Special: exclusive experiences and one-of-a-kind trips.
  • B-Culture: cultural travel, history and heritage.
  • B-Adventure: for lovers of nature, sport and adventure.
  • B-Delicious: gastronomic experiences and wine tourism.

Added to these are talks, activities and tastings, plus fair offers to book getaways and trips. The opening day usually has a more professional profile, aimed at travel agents and the press.

Getting to Fira Montjuïc

The Montjuïc venue is next to Plaça d’Espanya, right in central Barcelona. It’s one of the city’s most central and accessible fair venues:

  • Metro: the Espanya stop (lines L1 and L3) is next to the venue entrances.
  • FGC and commuter trains: they also stop at Plaça d’Espanya.
  • From the airport: El Prat is about 15 km away, with an easy public transport connection.

Being in the heart of the city, it’s very easy to combine the B-Travel visit with a walk around the centre. And what better way to get inspired to travel than doing it from a getaway to Barcelona.

Tips for your visit

  • Go with an idea of what you want: if you have a kind of trip in mind (culture, adventure, food…), start with the matching themed area.
  • Make the most of the fair offers: many deals are only available during the show; compare before booking.
  • Check the activities programme: talks, demonstrations and tastings really enrich the visit.
  • Bring a bag: you’ll gather brochures, maps and material from many destinations.
  • Combine it with the city: you’re in Barcelona, so make the most of it.

Why stay at Hotel Arc La Rambla during B-Travel

For a travel fair at Montjuïc, the connection from Hotel Arc La Rambla (La Rambla 19-21, next to Drassanes, L3 metro) is hard to beat. Metro line 3 takes you directly, with no changes, from Drassanes to the Espanya stop, right by the venue entrance. You reach B-Travel in a few minutes and with no hassle.

And there’s something especially fitting about visiting a travel fair from the historic centre of Barcelona: step off the metro at Drassanes and Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter and the harbour are steps away. The best way to get inspired for your next trip is to already be on one.
