A Congress That Changes Dates and Joins Forces

BCC26 reaches its seventh edition, organised by Fira de Barcelona together with the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia. This edition moves from its usual May dates to November, taking place alongside the Smart City Expo World Congress — a strategic alliance designed to place digital security at the centre of smart city development. The congress is expected to bring together more than 10,000 visitors from over 100 countries.

Three Days at Fira Gran Via: Dates and Access

  • Dates: Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 November 2026
  • Venue: Fira Gran Via, Hall 2 — Av. Joan Carles I, 64, 08908 L’Hospitalet de Llobregat
  • Nearest station: Europa | Fira (FGC lines S3, S4, S8, S33, R5, R6, and metro L9 Sud)
  • Route from the hotel: take L3 to Plaça Espanya, then change to an FGC train towards Europa | Fira — the station sits right at the fairground

Cybersecurity, AI and Smart Cities on the Same Stage

The programme focuses on the resilience of essential services and the protection of critical digital environments, with themes including the application of artificial intelligence in cyber defence, 5G/6G network security, data governance and compliance with European cybersecurity regulations. The congress features an exhibition area, a hacking village space with hands-on challenges, and technical sessions aimed at strengthening collaboration between public administrations and industry leaders.

Rest Close to the Venue After the Sessions

Fira Gran Via sits a bit outside the city centre, so it’s worth choosing well-connected accommodation. Hotel Arc La Rambla is a one-minute walk from Drassanes metro station (L3), with a direct, hassle-free connection to Plaça Espanya, where it links up with FGC trains towards Europa | Fira. And once the day is done, the Gothic Quarter, Port Vell and Las Ramblas are all a short walk from the hotel.
