Port authorities and organizations like the Conselleria de Acció Climàtica and the Catalan Water Agency are working together to promote more sustainable practices in Catalan ports. Additionally, the event’s organization, America’s Cup Events, has partnered with Agbar to use regenerated water in boat cleaning. This measure not only reduces the consumption of drinking water but also promotes a circular economy by giving treated water a second life.
