Thursday, April 7th, at 20:30h.Homage to Granados: Daniel Ligorio, piano.
The Liceu conservatory, where several piano teachers’ heirs of the tradition started by Granados teach is particularly motivated to participate in the celebration of the centenary of the composer’s death. In the event of the “Granados Year”, Daniel Ligorio introduces a program that includes: Danzas Españolas Op. 37, Ocho Valses Poéticos, l’Allegro de Concierto Op. 46 and the Escenas Románticas.

An exhibition of promising young lyric: singing students perform key scenes in the history of opera duets from Verdi to scenes accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatory. Scene director: Marc Rosich. Orchestra director: Manel Valdivieso i Marta Pujol.

On this occasion, the students of chamber music will surprise us with the Trio Op. 50 students will perform singing songs, arias and melodies by Granados.
Price: 10€Wednesday, April 13th, at 20h.Kaimerata – Schubert.
The Kaimerata, which has allowed the public to enjoy a complete view of the work of a particular composer in his monographic programs, a cycle dedicated to one of the most prominent composers of chamber music: Franz Schubert. This time we relish the Rondo for violin and strings in A major D. 438, the Quartettsatz D. 703 and the String Quartet in D minor D. 810, “Death and the Maiden”. Conservatory led by Professor Kai Gleusteen of Canadian origin.

The Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation organizes annually the scholarships « Young Promises ». In this concert, the protagonists will be the winners of the sixth edition of the scholarships, thanks to which these young talented musicians have developed professionally in some facilities of the highest standard.
