Discover Barcelona through 3 virtual leisure and culture activities

In order to face the coronavirus crisis, the cultural industry has been forced to think of new ways to keep working online. Through the official websites and social media profiles, they are creating all kinds of leisure activities for both adults and children.

So that you can continue to feed your passion for culture, at Hotel Arc La Rambla we have made a selection of different activities offered by some of the most important cultural centres in Barcelona.de

1. Palau de la Música

From the website of the Fundació Orfeó Català-Palau de la Música Catalana they want to continue promoting musical activities and their heritage during the confinement. For this reason they have created Palau Digital, a virtual space with audio recordings, conferences, masterclasses, meetings with artists and contents of musical divulgation.

If you are passionate about classical music, in the concerts section you can listen to Mahler’s Second Symphony or Beethoven’s Symphonies with Gustavo Dudamel, among many others. From Hotel Arc la Rambla we recommend you to visit the section to enjoy a free sample of the most outstanding productions of the Palau’s agenda.

2. Teatre Nacional de Catalunya

The performing arts sector also wanted to reach its audience with a virtual proposal. From El El TNC en Casa, in collaboration with Arola Editors, they offer the chance to read more than 60 theatre-related books in digital format. You will also find a selection of prologues, articles and other texts to deepen the reading of each book.

In addition, every Friday they broadcast live from their Instagram channel meetings with authors, directors and members of the artistic team so that users can interact with them.

Also, through the hashtag #elTNCaCasa you can follow all the activities that are posted on social media.

3. Fundació Joan Miró

As part of its commitment to offer all kinds of resources to those interested in the work of Joan Miró, the Foundation’s website has created the Miró at Home section. This digital initiative aims to promote the work of Joan Miró through games and activities to awaken creativity and at the same time to get to know different aspects of the artist’s life.

In the different sections of #Miroacasa you can also find everything from online activities for children to books, audiovisuals and articles that have been published about the author.

At Hotel Arc La Rambla we hope to get back to normal and enjoy Barcelona’s magnificent cultural offerings as soon as possible. If you enjoyed our leisure activities, follow our blog to keep up to date with the latest news about Barcelona!
