According to a survey of GFK Custom Research, Barcelona is considered the third happiest city in the world, due to its cultural offer and its weather. It is a lovely city, where you can spend your free time while you meander amongst its ten districts: Ciutat Vella, Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc, Les Corts, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Gràcia, Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris, Sant Andreu and Sant Martí. All of these zones have a wide variety of tourist attractions:
The first and most important area is the CIUTAT VELLA, where you could visit several quarters like the Rambla, the Raval, the Gothic Quarter, the Born and the Barceloneta. The Rambla is the most famous pedestrian street of the city, which boasts a lively atmosphere. It is an overcrowded area to go for a walk from Canaletas to Colón. The Raval is a multicultural neighborhood, where you can find a mixture between modernity and past, but be careful with the pick-pockets. In the Gótic Quarter you can bump into many welcoming restaurants, bars and terraces to taste “tapas”, a portion of traditional Spanish food. The Born nestles on the right of the Gótic quarter, and it is ideal for people who are keen on bustling nightlife. The Barceloneta is the closest beach to the city and disposes with the biggest aquarium in Europe.
