{"id":59239,"date":"2023-05-04T14:55:18","date_gmt":"2023-05-04T12:55:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hotelarc.welovewebs.es\/sin-categorizar\/la-castanada\/"},"modified":"2023-08-10T17:41:11","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T15:41:11","slug":"la-castanada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hotelarclarambla.com\/agenda\/en\/gastronomy\/la-castanada\/","title":{"rendered":"La Casta\u00f1ada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While many countries often celebrate the <strong>Halloween<\/strong> party on the 31<sup>st<\/sup> of October in <strong>Catalonia<\/strong> the most important autumn festival is La <strong>Casta\u00f1ada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During this festival the people usually eat roasted <strong>chestnuts<\/strong>, panellets, sweet potatoes and candied fruit, accompanied by muscat, a typical semisweet wine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Casta\u00f1era<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The most distinctive (and sometimes funny) representation of La Casta\u00f1ada is the figure of La <strong>Casta\u00f1era<\/strong>: a woman, dressed with a big coat and a headscarf, who is roasting chestnuts and sweet potatoes in a street stand.<\/p>\n<p>Spread throughout the city of Barcelona you you can find over 30 street stand where you can enjoy these autumn specialties. On Las Ramblas are a couple of them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pla de la Boqueria, 3<\/li>\n<li>Les Rambles, 120<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We love them, don\u2019t miss it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panellets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another typical specialty of this festival, the Panellets, which are sweets made with sugar, raw ground almonds, egg and potato or sweet potato.
