Barcelona is worldwide known for its art, and its most famous artist is Antoni Gaud\u00ed<\/strong>. Everybody associates Barcelona with Gaud\u00ed, but there are many other great artists sometimes eclipsed with Gaudi\u2019s shadow, like Joan Mir\u00f3<\/strong>. Barcelona offers an interesting route around Miro\u2019s works, of which I will give you a little preview.<\/p>\n

The Museum \u2018Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Mir\u00f3<\/a>\u2019<\/strong> contains the biggest and most important public collection of Miro\u2019s work with more than 217 paintings and 179 sculptures among the more than 14.000 pieces in exposition. It is located in Montjuic<\/strong>, from which is also possible to have a great view of the city from the heights.<\/p>\n

Mir\u00f3\u2019s work is not only confined to museums, he also used his hometown as a Canvas. In the \u2018Joan Mir\u00f3 Park<\/strong>\u2019 it is possible to see one of his most famous sculptures, \u2018Dona I Ocell\u2019 (Woman and Bird), with more than 22 meters height and bright colors it is for sure his most famous sculptures in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

In case you would like to enjoy Mir\u00f3\u2019s works<\/strong> and incidentally the other masterpieces located in Barcelona, just book a flight, come to the Hotel Arc La Rambla<\/strong><\/a> and get ready to enjoy. The connection between the hotel and Mir\u00f3 is that in las Ramblas, besides being the heart of the city, there is the \u2018Pla de l\u2019Os\u2019, a mosaic created by Mir\u00f3, which is unknown for some and admired for many others.<\/p>\n

Just a quick tip:<\/strong> When arriving to Barcelona by airplane, don\u2019t forget to see Miro\u2019s 9×5 meters mosaic in the entrance of terminal 2 of the airport.<\/p>\n
